Of More than One Voice

ARTIUM Basque Center-Museum of Contemporary Art presents the exhibition Of More than One Voice by Rotterdam-based Serbian artist Katarina Zdjelar (from 26 January to 28 April 2013). The exhibition features fifteen works, mostly videos, created over the last six years and evincing Zdjelar's interest in language, sound, music and political and cultural identity, concepts her art centers on. Several of the pieces included in the exhibition are new, among them a video shot in Vitoria-Gasteiz in which the artist reflects on these same ideas using popular songs from the so-called "Basque Radical Rock." Katarina Zdjelar has had numerous solo exhibitions in European art centers and galleries, and in 2009 she represented Serbia at the Venice Biennale. Of More than One Voice is the first exhibition by Zdjelar in Spain, is curated by Blanca de la Torre and is a production of ARTIUM with support from the Mondriaan Fund and the Provincial Council of Álava.
