The book is a result of Kathrin Höhne and Bjarte Gismarvik?s art projects exploring myths, literature and film alongside local history, social issues and personal experiences, all focused on the topic of fish and fishery.
In the weave of texts and images, anglers? dreams are facing diminishing fishing quotas, Captain Nemo meets Capt`n Birdseye, Jenny Hanniver teases fisherman George, ghostnets catch Globsters. Shipwrecked Germans are rescued from drowning and taken to a desolate island, where a bewildered Outlander is hassled by the locals. In this book, Höhne & Gismarvik are tangling with the debris of the sea in their search of the unknown.
