From a background as an illustrator, comic book artist and graphic designer Søren Behncke changed his focus in 2002 and began working solely with painting and sculpture. Initially Behncke only used recycled cardboard as his main material and soon he became known as \\\'Papfar,\\\' which directly translate as Cardboard Dad but actually is also an affectionate term for stepfather in Danish. He distinguished himself by creating spectacular sculptural interventions and hit-and-run actions in public space. Behncke has subsequently added numerous methods and media to his oeuvre and \\\'Sorry No Image Available\\\' provides a rich and varied illustration of his work with painting, collage, photography, printmaking, film, embroidery and sculpture over the past 14 years.
